HP Sprout PC Ditches The Mouse And Keyboard

HP has announced a new PC, the HP Sprout which ditches the mouse an keyboard in favor of a new multi touch mat and a projector, have a look at the video below.
The HP Sprout is a Windows 8.1 PC and it comes with a 23 inch full HD touchscreen display that has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

The new Sprout PC s powered by an Intel Core i7-4790s processor and it comes with Intel HD graphics 4600 and NVIDIA GeForce GT 745A graphics.
There is also 8GB of RAM as standard, although this can be upgraded to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD storage, plus Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac WiFi, and Bluetooth 4.0.

The HP Sprout also comes with a four camera system which is made up of an INtel RealSense 3D camera and a 14.6 megapixel high resolution camera, plus a HP DLP projector.

Samsung Gear S Smartwatch

Samsung announced the Gear S smartwatch will hit retail in the US starting November 7th, and will hit retail at major US carriers as well, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon and Sprint.

It will also be available at Samsung Experience Shops in Best Buy. Unfortunately, there’s no word about the pricing of the smartwatch, nor from carriers nor retailers, but we’ve heard that Sprint will offer its own plan for the smartwatch since it comes with 3G support.

    “Samsung continues to shape the wearable category with advanced technology and new experiences,” said Gregory Lee, president and CEO of Samsung Telecommunications America and Samsung Electronics North America Headquarters. “A growing developer ecosystem will further expand the capabilities of the Gear S with fitness tracking services like Nike+ Running and on-wrist turn-by-turn navigation from HERE and more.”

Samsung Gear S comes with a 2-inch display sporting a resolution of 480 by 360 pixels, and a 1GHz dual-core processor with 512MB of RAM, and 4GB of internal storage. Users can get notifications on their device, and even network calling through the smartphone as well. Other features include WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, IP67 certifications making it water and dust-resistant, and runs Tizen as its operating system.

Tronsmart Draco AW 80 Mini PC Media Player Launches For $149

Tronsmart has this week added a new addition to their range of mini PCs and media players, in the form of the just launched Tronsmart Draco AW80 mini PC.

The Tronsmart Draco AW80 is now available to purchase from around $149 and is equipped with either 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage or 4GB of RAM and 32GB of flash storage depending on your needs.

The Draco AW80 is powered by a Allwinner A80 octa-core SoC in the form of a big.LITTLE processor providing 4 x Cortex-A15 cores and 4 x Cortex-A7 cores. Together with an Imagination PowerVR G6230 GPU recording scores of over 55,000 at AnTuTu.

The graphics processing with the mini PC takes the form of 2 x Unified Scalable Clusters (or USCs), with each cluster containing 16 pipelines, with each pipeline offering 2 FP32 ALUs. Allowing the system to generate 1080p H.265 playback at 30 frames per second and 4K H.264 playback also at 30 fps.

PlayStation Silver Wired Headset Launches For $70

PlayStation gamers patiently waiting for the release of the new PlayStation Silver Wired Headset will be pleased to know that it is now available to purchase for $70 and Sony has also announced that a new Far Cry 4 audio mode will be made available very soon.

The PlayStation Silver Wired Headset was first unveiled last month and features immersive 7.1 virtual surround sound together with a retractable boom microphone.

Other features of the new PlayStation headset include in-line volume and microphone controls as well as the already mentioned audio modes that enable developers to create audio specific soundtracks and effects for PlayStation games.

The latest PlayStation headset is compatible with PlayStation Vita and many mobile devices that are equipped with a 3.5 mm jack. Sony’s Anand Agarwal explains a little more.

Samsung Galaxy A3 and A5 Gets Official

After countless leaks about Samsung expanding its “A” series handsets, the Korean OEM has finally made it official. Samsung Galaxy A3 and A5 are officially announced, carrying a similar design as the Samsung Galaxy Alpha.
Unfortunately, there’s no Galaxy A7, expected to the high-end model in the series, but it could launch in the coming weeks.

“The Galaxy A5 and A3 offer a beautifully crafted full metal unibody, slim design, superior hardware and the best possible social media experience,” said JK Shin, CEO and Head of IT & Mobile Communication at Samsung Electronics. “These devices make our advanced Galaxy experience even more accessible to young and trend conscious consumers.”
Both devices features a metal design, and are extremely thin. Samsung Galaxy A3 is just 6.9 mm and A5 is only 6.7 mm thin. Both handsets comes with 4G LTE connectivity on board, and are powered by a quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor. Samsung Galaxy A5 features a 5-inch HD display sporting a resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage with microSD card support of up to 64GB. Other features includes a 13MP primary camera, 5MP front-facing camera, a 2,300 mAh battery and runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat.


As for the Galaxy A3, it features a 4.5-inch qHD display, 8MP primary camera for photos and videos, 2MP front-facing camera, 16GB of expandable storage, 1GB of RAM, and Android 4.4.4 KitKat as the operating system.
Both devices are expected to hit retail in select markets including China in November 2014, so there’s a chance we may not see it in the west when it launches.
