Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 Gets Official

We have been hearing rumors for a while about the new Samsung Galaxy Camera 2, the device is now official and we have all the details on Samsung’s latest Android powered camera.
The Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 comes with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, the device is powered by a quad core 1.6GHz processor and it comes with 2GB of RAM.



 The Galaxy Camera 2 is equipped with a 16.3 megapixel sensor with BSI, it also comes with 21x optical zoom, and a 23mm wide angle lens.

 Other specifications on the Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 include a 4.8 inch HD Super Clear Touch LCD display, and 8GB of built in storage, there is also a microSD card slot which supports up to 64GB cards.

The Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 comes with a built in pop up Xenon flash, plus a range of Google Apps and Samsung apps, which include S Voice, Samsung Link, Samsung ChatOn and more.
The Galaxy Camera 2 also features NFC, WiFi, GPS with GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.0 and optical image stabilization, it also features a 2,000 mAh battery.
Samsung have yet to announce any pricing or a release date on the Samsung Galaxy Camera 2, they will be showing the device off at CES 2014 next week, and we can expect more details about the device then.

Samsung NX30 Camera Announced

As well as announcing the new Samsung Galaxy Camera 2, Samsung also announced another new camera that will be shown off at CES 2014 next week, the Samsung NX30.
The Samsung NX30 features a 20.3 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor, it comes with a 3 inch touchscreen SUPER AMOLED display that has an FVGA resolution of 720 x 480 pixels.

 Simon Stanford, Vice President of IM division, Samsung Electronics UK and Ireland, said: “Our award-winning NX series of cameras continues to evolve with the introduction of the NX30, which will feature a better imaging processor and our advanced Smart Camera offering. This camera delivers the performance users demand, combined with unmatched photo-sharing, allowing photographers to shoot with confidence and share immediately.

 Samsung also announced two new lenses with the launch of the NX30, which include a 16-50mm F2-2.8 S ED OIS lens, and a 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 Power Zoon ED OIS lens.

 Samsung have yet to announce any details on pricing or availability for the Samsung NX30, we can expect to find out more information at CES next week.
