Pirate Ship Kid’s Room

American designer Steve Kuhl from Minnesota and his studio Kuhl Design Build have designed a cool Pirate Ship kid’s room design for a 6 year-old. The cool kid’s bedroom is in blue color scheme with fish and sharks drawn on the walls to imitate water. The ship-shaped construction is built under the ceiling with the crow’s nest, rope bridge that can sustain a grown adult, and a two-story hidden slide into the closet.

Stray cat discovers ancient Roman catacomb in a residential neighborhood

There are so many ruins, ancient constructions, and grave sites in Rome that it’s hard to do any construction project without running into some sort of priceless archaeological artifact. In fact, there are apparently so many yet undiscovered Roman artifacts and archaeological sites in the city of Rome that stray cats are now discovering them. Last week, a stray cat discovered an ancient Roman catacomb.

A man named Mirko Curti, and an unnamed friend followed a stray cat into a tomb that has been dated back more than 2000 years. Apparently, the man spotted the stray near his apartment building about 10 o’clock last Tuesday night. The cat absconded into a cavern near a limestone rock cliff within the man’s residential neighborhood.
Curti said that he, and his companion followed the sound of the cats meowing. They were able to enter the small opening of the cave, which was guarded by rocks until earlier that week. Those rocks fell away during heavy rainstorms according to archaeologists.
Once inside the small cave Curti said that he realized the stray had led him into an ancient tomb littered with human bones that were surrounded by ancient Roman funeral urns. Archaeologists were later called the scene of the discovery and were able to determine that the cave was dated from between the first century BC in the second century A.D. The archaeologists believe that the bones likely fell into the cave from a chamber higher up in the cliff.

Hopefully we’ll hear more details about the Galaxy Note II at Samsung’s launch event tomorrow.

iPad mini revealed

This week the folks at Apple have revealed the iPad mini, a device that’s smaller than the 4th Generation iPad and bringing with it a hand-held design. This unit brings on “not just a smaller iPad”, but a totally re-vamped design – so says Apple. This unit brings on a 7.2mm body, that being 23% smaller than the iPad 3. This unit is .68 lbs as well – that’s thin as a pencil and heavy as a pad of paper.

The iPad mini will come in black and white – and not just on the front. The front and back of the iPad mini will be colored, similar to the structure of the iPhone 5. The update for the ecosystem does not break down the developer universe, as it were, with the 9.7-inch display being reduced to a 7.9-inch display with the sam aspect ratio. The 768 by 1024 ratio of the iPad 2 has been replicated here as well, this allowing all apps ready for the iPad 2 to work right out of the box on the iPad mini.
This device has a back-facing camera at 5 megapixels and a front-facing camera that’s Facetime HD for high definition video chat. The iPad mini has been created to keep the functionality of the iPad, particularly in the app workability, and move forward with a 35% larger display area over – yes, you guessed it- the Nexus 7. Apple has decided to take on the Google Nexus 7 directly in the presentation this week with a full run-down of how the iPad mini is better. Expect a full run-down from us in the very near future.
Also get pumped for the pricing and release time and date for the iPad mini soon and very soon, stick around our Apple portal for all the best and the rest.
