Samsung Expects To Ship 500 Million Phones In 2013

If you haven’t been paying attention, Samsung is now the largest phone manufacturer in the world, having sold more than 420 million handsets. And they aren’t about to slow down. The Korean Times has reported that Samsung plans to increase that figure by more than 20 percent.

They intend to ship 510 million phones in 2013. They have to if they want to continue to compete with Apple. There is the Galaxy range of Android-powered smartphones, as well as the growing range of Windows Phone 8 handsets.
If they can manage to ship what they say, it will be another good year for the company.

Qbeak Prototype Unveiled

The Qbeak is an electric city vehicle from Denmark-based ECOmove. The third prototype of the vehicle is under development. An insider even claims that the Qbeak is “very close” to its finished version. This latest prototype is said to be lighter than ever before, and you know what that means. The Qbeak’s single-charge range is also increased.

ECOMove is exploring potential partnerships with automobile component makers and they think that the final version will be ready by the time 2014 rolls around. ECOmove began work on the first Qbeak prototype in 2009.
Hopefully by 2014, the Qbeak will be even more advanced then it is now.
