More LG G3 Press Render Leaked, Will Come in Three Colors

Not too long ago, LG posted a teaser video for their upcoming flagship device, dubbed as the LG G3, and also confirmed the images we’ve seen in the past few weeks could actually be the purported LG G3.
Recently, the folks at PhoneArena managed to grab some shiny new press renders of the purported LG G3, showing the device in three different colors: silver, grey and gold.

The same source also revealed the three color options a few days back, but those were some blurry shots. What you’re seeing above is as good as it can get. It seems the device will come metal finish, something similar to what we’ve already seen on the HTC One M8, but with a
bigger display. Here are some more press renders in gold and silver

Based on rumors, the purported LG G3 will come with a 5.5-inch display sporting an impressive 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution, and should come with Snapdragon 805 chipset under the hood. It’s also rumored to come with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage with a microSD card slot.
On the rear, the purported handset will come with a 13MP camera with Optical Image Stabilization plus. Other feature include a 3,000 mAh battery, and should come with Android 4.4.2 KitKat as its operating system.

Autodesk 3D Printer Being Created For New Software Platform

It has been announced this week that a new Autodesk 3D Printer is currently under development to showcase the companies new software platform also currently being developed called Spark.

Autodesk has created Spark to be an open software platform for 3D printing, enabling 3D printers to be able to control how the 3D model is ultimately 3D printed.

Spark will be open and freely licensable to hardware manufacturers and others who are interested and the design of the Autodesk 3D printer will be made publicly available to allow for further development and experimentation. Autodesk explains a little more:

“Spark is an open 3D printing platform that will make it easier for hardware manufacturers, software developers, materials scientists, product designers, and more to participate in and benefit from this technology.

Spark connects digital information to 3D printers in a new and streamlined way, making it easier to visualize prints and optimize them without trial and error, while also broadening the range of materials that can be used for printing. And because the Spark platform is open, everyone can use its building blocks to further push the limits of 3D printing and drive fresh innovation..”

Autodesk will be launching their new Autodesk Spark 3D printing software and Autodesk 3D Printer before the end of 2014.

However be aware that the 3D files are only compatible with Replicator 2 and the MakerBot fifth-generation Replicator 3D printers, which is a shame. Bre Pettis, CEO of MakerBot explains:

“We are really proud to launch our first branded and licensed 3D printed products for the MakerBot Digital Store and MakerBot Retail Stores with Sesame Street.

Sesame Street has always been near and dear to my heart. I used to work for Jim Henson’s Creature Shop, and I grew up watching Sesame Street.

Having the ability to 3D print a beloved character – or soon, an entire set of cherished characters — will be really fun and educational. 3D printing is like having an engineering education in a box, but with Sesame Street, it has a playful and familiar twist.”
