Fujifilm Firmware Update For X-Pro 1 And X-E1 Fixes And Enhances Focus

Fujifilm has announced this week that they are releasing a new firmware update for their Fujifilm X-Pro 1 and X-E1 cameras that will fix the problems some users have been experiencing client to focus in low contrast situations.
The new firmware being released by Fujifilm will bring with it a faster AF speed and addition of the “Focus Peak Highlight” function for manual focusing and improved AF speed on most existing XF lenses.


Thanks to an updated Fujifilm firmware algorithm, faster AF speed is achieved with the following XF lenses:
- XF14mmF2.8 R
- XF18mmF2 R
- XF35mmF1.4 R
- XF60mmF2.4 R Macro
- XF18-55mmF2.8–4 R LM OIS

Samsung’s 4K Ultra HDTV Lands In the UK For £4,000

Samsung has announced that its new 4K Ultra HDTV’s will be launching in the UK, and prices qwill start at £4,000 for the 55 inch model and £6,000 for the 65 inch model.

Acer To Replace Iconia W3 Windows Tablet

Acer just launched ther Acer Iconia W3 Windows tablet, and now according to a recent report, the company is looking to replace the device just a few months after it was released.
An Acer spokesperson has told tweakers that a new version of the tablet will launch in September with an updated IPS display and a slimmer and lighter design.

 As yet we do not have any specifications on this new Windows tablet from Acer, as soon as we get some more details we will let you guys know.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Appears In Antutu Benchmarks

It looks like the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has appeared in the Antutu benchmarks, and the device turned up with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, although we still think it will launch with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
It isn’t clear from the benchmarks which processor the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is running, it appeared with a clock speed of 1.9GHz, and it is suspected to be the Snapdragon 800 version.


We are expecting different processors on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 in different markets, we have heard the US and Europe will get the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and other countries will get a Samsung Exynos 5420 processor.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is rumored to come in both WiFi and 4G LTE versions, and the device will apparently come with 3GB of RAM and a choice of either 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of storage.

The Galaxy Note 3 will feature a 5.99 inch full HD display, and it looks like different displays for different regions, one a Super AMOLED display and one a Super LCD display, both models will come with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will feature an advanced 13 megapixel camera which will feature optical image stabilization and a range of other features.
We are also expecting Samsung to include its flagship eye tracking technology that was launched with the Galaxy S4, which will include Eye Scroll and Eye Pause.
Eye Pause is use for watching videos, if you take your eyes off the handsets display, the video you are watching will automatically pause. Eye Scroll is use for viewing text on your screen like web pages and emails, when you move your eyes up or down the screen, the display scrolls down or up.
Samsung are rumored to be holding a Samsung Unpacked press event on the 4th of September where they will announce the new Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
The device will then be shown off at IFA 2013, which takes place in Berlin from the 6th of September. We are expecting the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to go on sale before the end of September in the US and Europe.
