Samsung Gear S Lands In The UK October 24th For £335

The Samsung Gear S will be available in the UK from the 24th of October, and this new smartwatch will retail for £334.98 including taxes.
UK retailer Unlocked Mobiles just dropped us an email to let us know that they are now taking pre-orders on the Samsung Gear S Smartwatch.

The Samsung Gear S comes with Samsung’s Tizen OS, and the device features a 2 inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 360 x 480 pixels. Processing on the Gear S comes in the form of a dual core 1GHz processor, and there is also 512MB of RAM and 4GB of built in storage.

This new smartwatch features a 300 mAh battery which according to Samsung will give you up to two days of usage, and it also comes with 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth.

The 3G allows you to use the Samsung Gear S without the need for a smartphone, although it can be connected to your smartphone via Bluetooth.

Sony Xperia Z3v Set To Launch on Verizon on October 23rd

Not too long ago, we heard a rumors that Sony is planning to mark its footsteps in the US market, and may launch its latest Xperia Z3 on Verizon. It turns out the rumor was correct.
Recently, Sony announced that Xperia Z3v (Verizon’s variant) is set to hit retail on Verizon on October 23rd. The handset will set you back by $199.99 on contract for the 32GB version of the handset.

“Since we announced the Xperia™ Z3 series at IFA last month, consumers have seen firsthand – and agreed – that our new Xperia Z3 smartphones and tablet bring together the best of Sony’s design, innovation and entertainment to go beyond ‘good’ and deliver an experience that is truly ‘great’. Today, we’re excited to extend that experience with news from the U.S. that the latest addition to the Xperia Z3 series, Xperia Z3v will be coming to Verizon starting 23rd October,” Sony said in a blog post.
Previously, Sony smartphones were available in unlocked flavors from the company or through T-Mobile, but it seems the company is ready to take on the US market, by launching the device on Verizon.
As for the hardware, the Xperia Z3v is slightly different from the standard version. Firstly, the handset comes with wireless charging capabilities via Qi charger which costs around $60. Furthermore, Xperia Z3v features a slightly different design, without rounded edges so it looks more like the Xperia Z2. Lastly, the handset comes with a slightly bigger 3,200 mAh battery.

Sony SmartWatch 3 Coming To Verizon This Month

Sony has announced that the Sony SmartWatch 3 will be available from Verizon Wireless in the U.S. later this month, although they did not give a specific launch date for the device on Verizon.

The company also said that there will be an exclusive version of the Sony SmartWatch 3 available on Verizon, although they did not provide any specific details about the device.

As a reminder, the SmartWatch 3 comes with a 1.6 inch display that features a resolution of 320 x 320 pixels, the device comes with Google’s Android Wear OS.

Processing on the Sony SmartWatch 3 is provided by a quad core 1.2GHz processor, you get 4GB of storage and 512MB of RAM, and the device also features a 420 mAh battery.

The Sony SmartWatch 3 will be available in a sport an metal version and the device features Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC, the battery will give you up to two days of usage.

Boost Mobile To Offer iPhone 6 and 6 Plus on October 17th

Boost Mobile, a prepaid Sprint division, offers a number of handsets without any contract. If you’re a Boost Mobile customer, you be glad to find out the carrier will start selling the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus from next week.
The carrier announced that both smartphones will go on sale from October 17th on the carrier, and will cost $100 less than the official off-contract price.

Boost Mobile works in a different way, you pay full price for the handset and choose a mobile plan which starts at $35 a month. You have to periodically add funds to your account to keep it running, so there are no annual contracts or huge monthly bills.

Both devices went on sale on all major US carriers — AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon — on September 19th, as well as through several retailers and Apple stores. Apple has seen strong launch weekend sales, topping a record-breaking 10 million. The handset is currently facing delayed shipments due to strong demand, especially the bigger iPhone 6 Plus which currently shows 3-4 weeks as the shipping estimate in most regions.
