Denon Heos Wireless Speaker System Unveiled To Compete With Sonos
Denon has created a new multiroom wireless speaker system called the
Denon Heos, that it hopes will allow Denon to compete with the already
established and market leader Sonos.
The new Denon Heos wireless speaker system consists of three wireless speakers in the range, that offer different sizes and price points to suit your music, audio and financial requirements.
Denon has designed their new Heos wireless speaker system to communicate over your home wireless network, providing easy access to cloud services as well as network attached storage devices that may already be linked to your home network.
Denon has also created a Heos companion application for both iOS and Android devices enabling you to control the system via your smartphone. The Denon Heos wireless speaker system also allows access to existing streaming applications, but at the present time Denon hasn’t announced which music applications are supported.
Denon has also unveiled their Denon Heos Extend device that has been specifically designed for larger homes or those with a poor wireless range or connectivity. Enabling you to boost the connectivity throughout your Denon Heos system.
Although Denon hasn’t announced specific prices or availability for their new range of Denon Heos speakers the company has explained that the speakers will start at around $300 with the largest and top of the range speaker costing $600. Putting the mid ranged Denon Heos speaker somewhere in the $400 price bracket. As more information is released by Denon regards availability and specific prices we will keep you updated as always.
