Streamz headset
If you are in the market for a shiny new set of headphones
and have some Christmas money burning a hole in your stocking, Streamz
Media has launched its first set of headphones with the ability to
stream audio from several sources. Simply called Streamz, this set can
connect to hotspots and other mobile devices to receive audio over Wi-Fi
and Bluetooth 3.0.
If that isn’t enough, its onboard 4GB of storage can be extended by a 32GB microSD card so that it can hold your music without connecting to another device. These headphones feature cushioned over-ear cups and the Streamz uses two 50mm dynamic speakers with 3W vibration drivers and 160mW dynamic amps. It also sports an Android-based built-in media player with a 1.6GHz dual-core processor. There is also a 48kHz 16-bit DAC, a microphone input jack, and controls for volume, mode, and functions are adjustable on the left earset, with the right covering basic audio playback controls.
It weighs 17.5 ounces and includes a built-in lithium polymer rechargeable battery. These headphones should ship in March 2014. The Streamz headphones will be priced at $549 in the United States. They are pricey, but they offer quite a bit.
