LG launches 15.6-inch U560 ultrabook
With the help of that pretty lady in the photo, LG has unveiled the U560
15.6-inch Windows 8 ultrabook. This ultrabook features a 1080p IPS
display for wide viewing angles and better color. It looks like it is
set to be a Windows alternative to the 15.4-inch Apple MacBook Pro with
Retina display, and is even slightly lighter than the 4.46 pound
MacBook.
Whether it will steal sales from Apple, only time will tell. It will be powered by a third-generation Core i5 3337U ‘Ivy Bridge,’ and pack in discrete Nvidia GeForce graphics for CAD work, or 3D gaming. The U560 comes in both SSD and HDD combinations and connectivity includes USB 3.0 ports and HDMI out.
Pricing and North American availability remain unknown at this time.
