YotaPhone Two Faced Phone Has LCD And E-Paper Screens
Breaking away from the tradition one screen smartphones currently on
the market, Yota Devices, a company part of the same business that owns
Russian LTE carrier Yota Mobile.
Has this week unveiled a new style of smartphone equipped with an LCD screen on one side and an E-Paper screen on the other, in the form of the new YotaPhone smartphone.
Vladislav Martynov, CEO of Yota Devices, explained to TechCrunch in
an interview that prototypes of the new YotaPhone smartphone, have been
sent out for testing in Europe, Asia and North America.
The extra E-Paper screen has been added to the smartphone to help preserve better life, enabling users to move information to the E-Paper screen, such as tickets, which can be held there while the colour screen can be used for other services. The more eye-friendly black and white screen, also, can be used for extended reading, conserving battery power when required.
