Cozy Balcony Design Ideas

Medium-sized balcony with a nice view can be a great and cozy area for afternoon rest, mini home garden and simply a lounge area. In order to create a cozy space for instance for lounge and tea a soft furniture set is required. It is not only comfy but creates an inviting atmosphere. Complete it with a coffee table and an eating area is ready. Besides the furniture doesn’t have to be new or expensive. The old living room furniture may suffice.

Space

If there’s not enough space for a full furniture set just add a sofa and an ottoman, a coffee table and couple of chairs, or a sofa and an armchair. There are plenty of options and solutions which ones to choose depends on the purpose and needs.

Finishing

Finishing can be wooden if the balcony is enclosed or stone for open balconies. Wood is warmer and cozier than stone but a rug can easily bring in the cozy feeling. The wrought iron rail looks elegant but wood and green plants add warmth to it.

Accessories

If you don’t plan to have a mini garden on the balcony at least a couple of outdoor planter pots with live plants can really add to the cozy balcony look. Throw pillows and outdoor lights will also add detail and cozy touch to the balcony design.
