Panasonic Toughbook SX2 Announced For $2,649
Panasonic has today announced a new version of its Toughbook SX2,
which has now been slimmed down but is still hard enough to withstand
knocks and bumps.
Panasonic have equipped their new SX2 Toughbook with an Intel Core i5-3320M vPro processor 3MB cache, up to 3.3GHz with Intel Turbo Boost Technology, together with a 12.1 inch LED backlit screen encased in a magnesium alloy body.
The new Panasonic Toughbook SX2 has also been equipped with a high-powered battery that is capable of providing 14.5 hours of use, 720p web camera, 2 x USB 3.0 ports, and includes connectivity for both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Technology enables many professionals today to work from virtually anywhere, but this freedom creates a new set of issues when users are not equipped with the right tools for the job – device failures mean frustration, lost productivity and revenue, plus substantial repair and replacement costs,” said Kyp Walls, director of product management, Panasonic Solutions for Business. “Like the other computers in our renowned Toughbook line, the Toughbook SX2 is engineered to provide the reliability high value professionals require with the portability they desire.”
The new Panasonic Toughbook will be arriving in stores later this month for around $2,649, and its lid and base have been designed to withstand more than 220 lbs (100 kgf) of pressure. For more information jump over to the Panasonic website for full specifications.
