Butchart Gardens in Canada
Butchart Gardens (The Butchart Gardens) – a group of flower gardens in Canada (British Columbia, near Victoria on Vancouver Island). More than a million people visit this place every year.
History of the garden – is the story of an entire dynasty Butchart, who decided to divide the garden on their land, leaving the craft industry. Right, the flowers grow far more pleasant than to interfere with cement!
Robert Pim Butchart (1856-1943) began production of cement in 1888 near the site of his birth Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada. He and his wife, Jennie Butchart (1866-1950) came to the west coast of Canada by rich limestone deposits necessary for cement production. In 1904 they built their home on Vancouver Island.
