Samsung Galaxy S5 Pre-registrations Tops the Galaxy S4, Says Carphone Warehouse

Not too long ago, it was reported that the pre-registrations for Samsung’s latest flagship device, Samsung Galaxy S5, has surpassed 100,000 on T-Mobile in less than two days.
Now, Carphone Warehouse, a popular retailer in the UK, said it has received record pre-registrations for the Samsung Galaxy S5, which is 130 percent more than what the Galaxy S4 received in its 10-day pre-registration period, and mentioned it could become “record breaking handset before it even reaches stores.”

Samsung unveiled their latest flagship device at the Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona earlier this week.  The handset comes with an upgraded set of specifications and rocks a 5.1-inch display sporting a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, and is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 801 chipset with Adreno 330 GPU and 2GB of RAM.
Other features include 16MP camera for photos and videos, a fingerprint scanner as an added security feature, a heart rate sensor, a 2,800 mAh battery and runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat with an updated TouchWiz UI. The handset comes with an Ultra Saving Battery mode as well that can give users with an extended battery life.
We will definitely find out whether the sales turn out to be as high as its pre-registrations when the handset hits retail on April 11th.
