LG’s Google TVs To Get Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Update
Yesterday Google announced that they would be updating their Google
TV platform to Android 4.2.2, they also announced that they would make
it much easier for manufacturers to update their Google TV devices to
the latest version of Android.
Now LG has announced that it will be bringing the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update to its Google TV devices, and LG has said that the updates will be rolled out as an over the air update to their existing LG Google TVs in the third quarter.
“LG’s Google TV with the latest Jelly Bean operating system and NDK support will deliver an enhanced user experience and access to more great apps,” said Havis Kwon, president and CEO of the LG Home Entertainment Company. “In addition to enabling users to enjoy advanced Android apps, the latest OS will also provide developers with new opportunities in the Smart TV arena.”
