eVolo Skyscraper Competition 2012 Winners
eVolo Skyscraper Competition 2012 presented many bold projects yet again. Here are the winning projects.
The first place winner project named ‘Himalaya Water Tower’ is by
Hongchuan Zhao, Dongbai Song, and Zhi Zheng. The ‘Himalaya Water Tower’
skyscraper was designed to collect the water from the melting glaciers
as well as the rainwater for storage and distribution to the population.
The skyscraper has a very unique design with the six tentacle-like pipes for collecting water and four cores for storing ice cubes. The Himalaya Water Tower design also features a transport system at the base of the structure.
The second place winner at eVolo 2012 Skyscraper Competition is a design from Nanjue Wang, Zihan Wang, Ji Xia, and Yiting Shen. Since the mountains China get destroyed due to mining the ‘Mountain Band-Aid’ is aimed to restore and protect the Hmong mountain and its inhabitants.
The third place winners Lin Yu-Ta and Anne Schmidt have designed a ‘Monument to Civilization’, a skyscraper that would recycle the waste and provide a city with energy.
