The Dyson Humidifier uses ultraviolet light to clean the air and remove any germs that might be circulating, preventing dry air in the process, as well as being equipped with a dual function for year round use.
The technology in the system is called Dyson’s Air Multiplier and exposes the water within the humidifier to ultraviolet rays twice making sure that 99.9 percent of bacteria are killed before the water droplets are recirculating around your home.
Unfortunately Dyson has announced that they will only be launching the new Dyson Humidifier in Japan this year and other markets will have to wait until the fall of 2015 to be able to get their hands on the innovative new range of humidifiers. For more information on the new Dyson Humidifier jump over to the Dyson website for details. Dyson explains :
“Before releasing any mist, Ultraviolet Cleanse technology uses a three-minute cycle to kill 99.9% of bacteria in the tank of water. Every drop of water is exposed to an ultraviolet light and then atomised by a piezo. This ensures that any mist projected is always 99.9% bacteria-free.
The Dyson humidifier measures temperature and humidity and adjusts accordingly to project a hygienic mist for a comfortable environment. The accurate humidistat and efficient water management system ensure up to 18 hours of continuous use on one tank of water. And there’s a built-in sleep timer for automatic turn off.”
