New Asus Strix Pro Gaming Headset And Range Unveiled At Computex 2014

During Computex 2014 this week Asus has taken the opportunity to announce its new Strix Brand, together with its first product in the form of the Asus Strix Pro gaming headset.

The Asus Strix range of gaming peripherals has taken its name from the ancient Roman and Greek word for owl and will include new graphics cards that will be unveiled shortly.

Features of the Asus Strix Pro gaming headset include 60mm neodymium-magnet drivers, a frequency response 20Hz-20kHz and a sensitivity of 98dB SPL. Asus explains a little more about their new Strix range of gaming devices.

“Strix means the keenest hearing and sharpest eyesight and the ability to feel the environment, enabling the player to detect and react to even the slightest movement. Strix means survival on the very edge of instinct. Strix is in gamers’ blood, just as it is in ours.

The Strix brand will this year expand to include a wide variety of gaming gear, including exceptionally-agile mice, boundary-pushing keyboards, super-cool graphics cards and awesome gaming headsets.

The first products to appear are graphics cards and Strix Pro — a high-style gaming headset inspired by the owl’s unique combination of supreme hunting agility, great speed and highly-attuned hearing.”

The new Asus Strix Pro gaming headset will be available to purchase in stores next month and is expected to be priced around $100. .
