New Panasonic Lumix GH4 Records Ultra HD 4K

Building on the technology included in the older Panasonic Lumix GH3 camera launched back in 2012. Panasonic has this week unveiled their new Panasonic Lumix GH4 mirrorless camera with interchangeable lenses, that offers users the ability to record video footage at a resolution of Ultra HD 4K or 4,096 x 2,160 pixels.

The Panasonic Lumix GH4 is similar in design to the previous GH3 and is constructed using a magnesium frame together with a case design that protects it from both dust and makes its splash proof.

Panasonic has equipped their new camera with a 16 megapixel still image sensor as well as a new Micro Four Thirds sensor, powered by the quad core processor enabling it to capture footage at a massive 25,600 ISO and 12 fps.
Panasonic Lumix GH4 is the first prosumer camera to offer Cinema 4K (C4K, 4,096 x 2,160 resolution) in addition to Quad HD 4K (QHD, 3,840 x 2,160 resolution), together with extra-high-quality HD, offering 4:2:2 10-bit output with a 200Mbps bit rate across its range of frame rates.

Unfortunately no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet for the Panasonic Lumix GH4 by Panasonic, but as soon as prices are announced we will keep you updated as always.
