Garmin Vivofit Fitness Band Unveiled At CES 2014

As well as unveiling a new Dash Cam at this week’s CES 2014 consumer electronics show in Las Vegas. Garmin has also announced the launch of their new Garmin Vivofit fitness band which has been created to provide users with a personalised daily goal as well as being able to track your fitness levels and workout regime.
Unlike other fitness bands currently on the market that use a rechargeable battery, the Garmin Vivofit is equipped with a user replaceable battery which provides a years worth of power from a single battery.

Other features of the new Garmin Vivofit fitness band include being waterproof to 50 meters as well as supporting ANT+ heart rate monitors as well as offering a sleep monitoring mode. The Garmin Vivofit has also been designed to learn from  users activity levels, which it then uses to set daily personal fitness goals for users to complete.
Garmin’s Vice President of Worldwide Sales Dan Bartel explains : “Garmin has been providing fitness monitoring devices for over a decade, and with vívofit we say hello to the fitness band that knows your potential. Being able to monitor the quality of rest after retiring for the night, being challenged by personalized daily goals and doing so without having to charge it every few days, makes vivofit a fitness band that should be on everyone’s wrist.”
Unfortunately no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet by Garmin from their Vivofit Fitness Band, but as soon as information comes to light we will keep you updated as always.
