Sigma SD1, DP1, DP2 Merrill Reviews


The Sigma SD1 / SD1 Merrill is the Digital SLR version with Sigma lens mount, while the DP1 and DP2 Merrill are the same compact camera, where you get to choose which one you want based on what lens you want on the front of the sensor, a 19mm f/2.8 (28mm equivalent) or 30mm f/2.8 (45mm equivalent). The sensor delivers extremely detailed 15megapixel images that are far beyond what you would normally get from a normal 15/16 megapixel sensor, but you do need to shoot and process RAW files to get the best colour from them, as the JPEG output is just not up to scratch. The SD1 doesn’t feature live view or video modes unlike other DSLRs these days, although the DP1 and DP2 do feature a VGA, 30fps video mode. Anyway, here’s some links:
